Pepita starts quoting the poem about “Mysterious Kôr”. In the beginning it seems like she want to tell Arthur about it because of his glittering eyeballs that he gets when he’s looking at it. Then when she say “Mysterious Kôr.” He asks “What is?” so she’s starting to tell him about the Kôr. He is very inquisitive and that makes her forced to tell more about it, and what she thinks.
It’s very late at night when Pepita and Arthur are walking around. Arthur is soon going out in the war and this is the last night Pepita can spend with Arthur alone.
