The Prodigy…
… is a techno-punk musical group that consists of four members, all guys, at the age of 26 to 30 years.
Many people think that The Prodigys music is made by all of the members, but their real ”musical-engine” is Liam Howlett.
The other three members are:
Maxim Reality - the singer
Keith Flint – singer and (in fact) dancer
Leeroy Thornhill - dancer
It all started at a party where Liam played some of his music, which he later in the evening copied to Kieth and Leeroy that he just had met at the same party. They took the tape and got home, high at ecstasy, and started to practice some dancing-steps, which are the same as they use today.
”What Evil Lurks” is their first singel as a real group, but it was with ”Charly” their real succes´s started. Between 1992 and 1993 they got on the tracklist four times and they released their first album ”Experience” in November 1992. In June the following year they released their second album ”Music for a jilted generation” and their latest album ”The fat of the land” was realeased 1997. They have also released about twenty singles.
The Prodigy´s songs have almost no texts, for example ”Charly”. All that is said is: ”MIAOU! Charly says, always tell your mummy before you go off somewhere.” But on their latest album they have longer texts.
Maybe you have heard that the band is quitting, but that´s not true.
