He received his movie education from Carson Twin Cinema.
In 1980 he starts training to be an actor and he also gets a job at Video Archives at Manhattan Beach. He continues for six years.
At Video Archives he met Roger Avery and spent all day long doing what he loved, discussing films!
Even though he still wanted to be an actor, he drops that goal to go for something bigger: directing.
In 1990 Tarantino wrote “Reservoir Dogs”. It was released in January 1991 and the world got its first taste of Tarantino, and what a taste it was!
“Reservoir Dogs” hit the Sundance Film Festival. The writer and director Quentin Tarantino was a first timer and everyone was shocked.
The criticals praised the film and Tarantino became a legend in UK and in cult-film groups.
But al people didn’t like this very violent film. Wes Craven, the director of the Scream movies, walks out claming to be offended by the violence.
In 1993 Tarantino signs up with Miramax studios. Tarantino writes the script to Tony Scotts “True Romance” and Oliver Stones “Natural Born Killers”, and himself writes and directs the success movie “Pulp Fiction”.
In 1994 “Pulp Fiction” was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival where it won the popular “Palme D´Or”.
The next film he wrote and directed was “Jackie Brown” in 1997. Before that had he wrote and starred in the vampire film “From dusk ‘til dawn”.
In 2000 he had a smaller role in Adam Sandlers “Little Nicky”.
After years of silence came finally hes new movie “Kill Bill”.
