Revisionism. A reality

Revisionism generally refers to dissent with the ´official version´ of history, the version considered ´truth´, taught in high schools, universities and eternalized in Hollywood. But the term is more and more extended to questioning the official doctrines of our times, those decreed in ´politically correct´ speeches and editorials.

The interesting point is the very existence of those official truths, ´universal consensuses´, taboos, which more often than not are badly disguised self-serving propaganda.

How come? Democratic societies, supervised day and night by their free press, hypercritical TV commentators and expert scholars, questioning whatever certainty remains, these societies respect taboos, maintain dogmas, declare truths beyond doubt ?

Simple examples could be the Katyn murders in Poland (about 2000 deaths), first given to be German attrocity, and lately thanks to revisionist was prooven to be Stalinist troops matter. We could talk about false A.Birkenau pictures revisioned and in year 2001 sentenced to be false. And so on.

Many people with "glorious" backgrounds, such as winners of wars, prisioners and other kind are afraid of the raising phenomenon of the Revisionist in the fact of "changing" the settled nowadays fact of History.

Just 3 weeks ago Revisionist people had another "bingo" when spanish leader of Survivors of KZ Mauthausen was found LIER in a 30 years big lie. He became leader of this foundation, speaker and even got medals of honor from such evil situation in the KZ. A spanish historian who studied him during last 10 years found his histories a bit disconcerting and was of course taken away with threats for going "against" the settled history. But as I said 3 weeks ago more or less his investigations took air and showed that he NEVER was into any KZ. Marco confessed in a statement he had invented his story of fleeing Spain as a leftist exile in the wake of the country´s bloody 1936-1939 civil war. Nor did he join the French resistance during World War Two, as he had claimed. Instead, he left Spain for Germany as a migrant worker in 1941 and was deported by the German government two years later.

His words were: "now there are people around the world, revisionists, who could take advantage of these facts."

And my answer would be: of course dear Marco, you cant go anywere telling lies.

This is simply one example how we Revisionist works, for the right, for the truth and not even more important: for a true telled History.
