It all started when my bestfriend Karolina and I were tired of Sweden's cold and boring weather. So we decided to go on a study trip to an English speaking country. Because we both loved English language. So we started to search in travel magazines.

And there it was Australia, whit it's long beautiful white beaches, and its big blue stunning ocean, and their old culture! We both knew that Australia was the perfect choice for us, and neither of us had ever been there before.

We went to a travel agent for more information and decided to go on a language trip whit STS (Student travel schools AB). Because they had it all included: The flight, a nice host family, school, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a lot of fun activities.

We chose an international class whit international teachers and students.

The total amount for both of us was 87 296 sek! It was much money but it was definitely worth it.  We booked for 8 days from the 6 Th - 13 Th December.

30 days before the trip we got a call from the father in the family.

Dorza - Hello?

Mr. Harrison - Hi I'm Greg Harrison, am I talking to Dorza or Karolina?

Dorza - I'm Dorza.

Mr. Harrison - I'm your host father from Australia.

Dorza - Oh, such a pleasure to talk to you.

Mr. Harrison - I think the same! I just wanted to talk to you, more about us in the family. I got a lovely wife named Mandy, your going to love her cooking! And two wonderful children, Melorie and Brian. Melorie is 15 years old and Brian is a curious 5 years old. We live in Woolloomooloo, Nicholson Street in Sydney. The school is very near. It just take a few minutes to walk Melories school is future away, but she will follow you almost halfway. And hmm... Yeah right we got a golden retriever puppy named Dixie.

Dorza - Both me and Karolina are very excited to meet you all, and experience your great country.

Mr. Harrison - Oh my goodness', you are so polite young lady! I hope that Melorie will take after this skill from you! And we are excited to have you here. Brian is even counting the days!

Dorza - Haha, I just have a question. Is there busses or should we get a taxi to your home?

Mr. Harrison - Oh don't worry about it, we will pick you up whit the car at the airport.

Dorza - But we don't want to bother you...

Mr. Harrison - We would love to pick you up. That's not any problem for us, we insist!

Dorza - Ok than, if you insist!

Mr. Harrison - Is everything clear now, you don't have any other questions?

Dorza - No I think that was it.

Mr. Harrison - All right then, may I talk to your parents?

Dorza - Sure, it was a pleasure to talk whit you, just a second.

Mr. Harrison - Same here, thank you, bye!

Dorza - Bye!

Two days before the trip we started to pack our stuff. The more we packed, the more we became aware of how much we have left to pack. We ended up whit two big luggages, three big bags and one little smaller bag. And we were officially ready.

02.00 pm ‘' At Arlanda Airport''

We checked in, well we had a couples of kilos overweight but we needed our stuff. So we payed the overweight, took farvel from our parents and checked in.

•01.0     am ‘' In the plane ‘'

We have now finished our lunch, it was spicy Thai food, noodles, fried wok vegetables and chicken. It was not bad for plane food. And the movie was really good. Well Lina fell asleep in half the movie. And she is still sleeping. But I can't sleep. I'm going to listen to my mp3 player, whit calm music, maybe I fall asleep. That's all for now.

‘' Dear passengers, it's your captain speaking. We are now abow Sydney's airport, and are ready to land. So please sit on your seats and close your seat belts. Its 42° degrees outside and as you can see, it's sunny. We hope you had a comfortable and good flight whit SAS, and we wish you a continued good trip. Thank you''.

After 28 hours of sitting still in the bumpy flight whit annoying babies screaming and crying beside me, arriving and seeing the long whit beach and the turquoise water below me, was fantastic and suddenly the tiredness from the trip was all gone.

To watch the beautiful Australian landscape from the airplane was great and I truly recommend it for all you blog readers. Here is some pictures we took. Enjoy!

‘' Home, 1 Day ‘'

Hi, everyone. After 10 hours sleeping. We are getting used to the time difference. When we first arrived we were so tired, we could sleep upright.

We couldn't even present ourselves properly to the family. But this far they seem like a nice and warm family, especially Melorie, she talks on and on.

At first she was a bit shy. But now she talks unstoppably. And I don't want to disappoint her by telling her the fact that we are about to faint because of fatigue.

Anyway we are going to visit our school today and then if we're not tired, maybe we can book a visit to the Sydney Opera house into our full schedules. I mean it's not so far from here it would just take a tiny walk by the way, sorry for the bad update sweethearts, but since we are so tired after the trip we have not managed to blog at all but promise to update as much as we can.

Here are some pictures from our house in Woolloomooloo, Nicholson Street.

Haha, I'm just kidding.                          This is our house, it's not the biggest but enough.

‘' At home, Day 2 ‘'

Good morning Sunshine's!

Yesterday we visited our school. It was a great school whit many nice teachers and students. Our class is as I said before, international, that means students and teachers whir different nationalities. It turned out that we had picked a really high level, because the students spoke English quiet good.

Karolina and I became good friends' whit to brothers and sisters from India, Aar?n and Nasseem. We decided to visit the Sydney Opera house whit them, and after school we rented bikes and rode to the Opera house altogether.

The building was amazing and it was a great experience. We took lots of photos and had real fun time. But we were not tired as we thought we would be so we went to the Garden Island.

In the middle of the garden, there was a tennis court. So we played tennis, Aar?n and Karolina and Nasseem and I. We got us so caught up in the game that we forgot the time.

And before we knew it was time for dinner. So we jumped on our bikes and cycled home.

Did you knew that Australians uses slang words a lot, I knew that but when our host father said ‘' We are going to have a Barbie ‘' and it meant barbeque I got shocked I mean how can you reduce the world Barbeque to Barbie? I thought he was going to buy a doll for us, and I thought for myself do we look like small kids or is it a tradition to buy Barbies for exchange students? How in earth, could I know that he meant a barbeque.

Huh, anyway you can never guess what our host family grilled for dinner today in honor of us! Kangaroo Tail! God I wished I was vegetarian at the moment. But I couldn't refuse to eat I mean they all had spent the whole day to cock and Kangaroo Tail is not the easiest thing cock and are sold, ONLY in specific food stories. I looked at Karolina, she took a bite, and looked at me in way that said ‘' Come on don't be such a baby ‘' I finally took a bite and SURPRIZE it was actually delicious but the thought of that I ate a cute little innocent kangaroos tale wasn't pretty good.

Now we're going to eat breakfast so I'll write later...

‘' Day 3''

Dear, readers...

Today we spent the whole day, at the famous Bondi Beach, whit or class, today was suppose to make our class get to know each other and to come together. It was really fun and it worked because we found lots of awesome friends today.                                                                        The famous Bondi Beach

The Bondi Beach was like a dream for me and Karolina. It was a white long beach, it was long that you couldn't see were ended, And the sea, was crystal blue whit high waves. Everywhere we looked, there were tanned teenagers and family wearing swimwears and playing volleyball in the sand.

Anyway we swam, sunbathed, played beach volleyball, rented surfing boards ( To surf is much harder than it looks like), and even tock diving lessons because guess where we are going tomorrow?

We are going to Queensland and from there we will take a boat to the Great Barrier Reef. We are going to dive and explore the underwater world and the famous coral reef, with colored fishes and other water animals.

We are ready exited about tomorrow, but we must sleep now, so we have energy for tomorrow!

Ooh, this is the bracelet Karolina bough.

The waves were huge!

16.00 pm ‘' At the Spencer Motel'' Day 4

Good evening, everybody!

I'm sitting here and sweated, like I never sweat before. It's almost 50° degrees in the sun and the air conditioner doesn't work. We have been complaining to the motel personal, and they will send a repairer, but in an hour. I will die of heat shock until then! If I don't update more that's why.

Anyway... The diving this morning was one of the coolest things we ever have done in our entire lives. I really can't explain the feeling I had, in the water, seeing a whole new world, it's too big to describe. I mean I've always seen it on TV, but somehow I've never belived that it really existed.

In the boat back to the Mainland we saw a group of dolphins jumping and swimming along our boat! We took like hundreds of pictures and my camera is full now, as luck Karolina have a one.

Oh, someone knocking on the door hope it is the repairer, who's early because I can't stand this anymore. Well, well I'm going to stop complain.

13.00 pm ‘' At School ‘' Day 5

Hello!

Here is a quick insert because we are having a class in school. Nasseem, Karolina, Aar?n and I are getting closer and closer friends. Karolina and I decided that we are going to visit them in India, and keep mailing each other.

We have not any special plans after school. So we want to ask our host family for good suggestions. Many people have asked me about our host family. My or our host family is very kind, generous and caring people. I feel like I have known them all my life. And I know Karolina feels so too. Oh no, my teacher is staring at me go to go, bye!

09.00 am ‘' At home ‘' Day 6

Ciao darlings!

Yesterday after school we got lots of great advice from the family! Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium, Blue mountains, visiting the bush and meeting the original population (The aborigines).

We decided to visit the Sydney Aquarium, whit the family today. And Taronga Zoo tomorrow. Sydney Aquarium is a public aquarium located on the eastern side of Darling Harbour to the north of the Pyrmont Bridge. The aquarium contains a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 650 species. The absolute coolest thing in Sydney Aquarium was the underwater, see - through, acrylic glass tunnels where sharks swam above visitors! We even got the opportunity to feed the sharks! Karolina and I skipped that, but Melorie was very brave and tried it.

After the outing we stopped by a Restaurant to eat. I order a salad whit a Fanta exotic and Karolina took a octopus soup. The rest of the family took the famous fish and chips. That was all for today.

As always we took millions of photos, here are some of them, by the way were coming home the day after tomorrow, this trip has gone so fast.

‘' Day 7 ‘'

G' day, mates!

Yesterday Karolina and I spent the whole night at the toilet throwing up! I felt better after a few hours but Karolina became weaker and weaker! It's probably because the octopus soup she ate earlier! I really felt bad about her and so did the rest of the family. Poor Mandy stayed up all night washing and cleaning after us. She even called the doctor and made Fluid Replacement (homemade). Even though she had work the next day, she did all of the things without looking the least bothered. 4 in the morning Karolina finally stayed in her bed without running to the toilet and eventually she fell asleep.

Today when we woke up she was better but so she couldn't go to the school or do anything. I told her I'll stay at home with her but she insisted that I should go and have fun, and she was right it was the last day so I went to school and decided to visit Taronga Zoo whit Nasseem and Aar?n after school. So we went to and for you how isn't familiar whit it, Taronga Zoo is a Zoo whit Australian animals like, kangaroos, koalas, dingos ( between wolf and dog), saltwater crocodiles and more.

I always wanted to see a crocodile, because my favorite movie is Crocodile Dundee, and I'll been fascinated of them since I was like 4 or something.

Nasseem and Aar?n were more interested in koalas.

During the day I kept feeli...
