Introduction
I’ve chosen my work to be about the three biggest cities of USA which is New York, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. My knowledge of those cities are rather small and I think it is important to know at least a little about the three biggest cities of the most powerful nation in the world. First of all want I say that this work isn’t going to be a deep insight, it is just supposed to be a scratch on the surface. To make my work a little easier and to make the information about the cities similar to each other. I asked myself some questions based on what’s the first thing you think of when you want to know more about a city, those questions are: Where is the city located? ;What’s the population in the city including the suburbs? ;What’s the climate in the city? ;How do you travel in the city? And if there is anything else I think you should know will I naturally also tell you about it.

New York
New York is with its eighteen million inhabitants (including the suburbs) the biggest city in USA. The biggest minority is the Hispanics population. New York is located on the east coast, to the north. If you want to travel I’d recommend the public transport, for being USA is it very good. It has a very big subway network with its twenty six lines and four hundred and sixty eight stations, the public transport system also has busses and commuter trains. New York has a coastal climate which causes the winters to become mild, but in the summers is it a climate who’s identical with Mediterranean’s, the precipitation is about a thousand millimetres each year. New York has many tourist attractions. If you go there I’d recommend the Empire State Building, it is a skyscraper which is three hundred one metres high. I would also recommend the Statue of Liberty, it is a ninety three metres high statue representing the liberty in USA. There are also forty five museums you can visit. Central park is a rectangular park which is located in the middle of Manhattan, it was designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux in the middle of the nineteenth century when it was decided that there should be a park at that location.

Washington D.C.
D.C. stands for District of Columbia. Washington D.C. is the capital city of USA and is located on the east coast ca three hundred and twenty kilometres south west of New York. Washington D.C. has about five millions inhabitants including the suburbs. Just as in New York the biggest minority is the Hispanics population. If you’re going to travel in the city I’d recommend the public transport because of it has a cheap price and it’s rather fast. The metro has only five lines and eighty six stations but I think they seem to be very well placed and efficient. But naturally there are busses as well, those busses are called metrobuses, there are hundred eighty two lines with twelve thousands four hundred thirty five bus stops. Washington D.C. has a very varied climate, the summers offer a sunny and hot climate and the winters are cold and have many snowstorms. The precipitation in Washington D.C. is rather low, it’s about 380 millimetres each year. In my opinion there aren’t any fun tourist attractions like the ones New York has but Washington D.C. has USA’s leading museums and libraries you can visit if you want to. The White House is located in Washington D.C., and is the residence and workplace of the President of the USA. It has one hundred thirty two rooms and a lot of other luxury things like six full time chefs and a swimming pool and a lot of other luxury things.

Los Angles
Los Angles is located on the west coast to the south in the state of California. Los Angeles is with its twelve million inhabitants including the suburbs the second biggest city of USA. The biggest minority is also Hispanics like New York and Washington D.C.. Los Angeles is spread out on a very big area and has a rather bad public transport for being such a big city, with only four lines of the metro and two hundred lines of busses. But Los Angeles is the city with the most extensive freeway system which results that most of the people takes the car instead of the public transport. That so many people takes the car every day results in extremely high environmental concerns because the cars are setting free so much exhaust fumes and on top of that are there many shipping and manufactures who also are setting free exhaust gases. The city is located in the south and has a climate which is identical with the Mediterranean’s climate, or to put it differently it has very hot summers and mild winters, it doesn’t rain especially often. Because of the hot climate it only rains about three hundred and sixty millimetres every year. Hollywood is a suburb to Los Angeles and is very well-known for its film productions, here lives also many famous actors and directors for example Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise, Orlando Bloom, Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman.

Conclusion
What I discovered was that all the cities are multi-cultural and the biggest minority in all cities are Hispanics. What I also discovered was that Los Angeles was the only city with such a bad public transport and I think that it is a catastrophe. I think the politicians made a terrible mistake when they decided to invest on the roads instead of the public transport. What I also discovered was that Los Angeles has a very different cultural life than New York and Washington D.C. has, what I mean is that Los Angeles has a much more modern culture with its movie making and New York and Was...
