I’ve read the exciting book Love Letters written by Anne Cassidy. It’s an intriguing book that captures the readers mind and makes you want figure out what’s next .

Vicky is an ordinary girl who lives with her mother and father in England. Vicky and her best friend Jen has always been interested in books and are the best students I class. They have known each other for ages but now as they’ve grown to be seventeen Vicky has realised their interests has taken different turns. Vicky has always been a bit of a quiet girl with her face buried in books. She has a big gap between her teeth and a thin body and over all she has a pretty regular look. Her friend is the opposite. Jen is much rounder and more curvy than Vicky, and she’s always up for some new gossip. She loves food and though she has promised herself to follow a strict diet it never lasts one day.

Vicky’s life is rather normal and calm until an unusual incident occurs that will turn her regular living upside down. One day she notices a letter with a blue envelope on the kitchen table that is signed with her name on it. When she opens it she smiles but a anxious feeling strikes her. In the letter it says “I love you Vicky” signed with three X: s in the bottom of the letter. She gets a nervous tingling feeling in her stomach and she turns giggly at the same time with the thought of someone sending a secret letter addressed only to her. Who is this letter from, she whispers quietly to herself. Why would someone send something like this to me? Vicky thinks the letter must have been sent to the wrong address and later on she forgets about the secret love letter. But then another letter is found in her backpack and she starts to wonder why someone is sending these love letters to a non attractive and quiet girl like herself. Is this a coincidence? Or has Vicky got her self a secret admirer?

The beginning introduces with the first letter that Vicky receives which makes you behold the core of the book from the very beginning. Like most books is the first part not that exciting and Vicky keeps getting letters from an anonymous sender without giving the reader any clue who it might be. Later on you get more caught up by the book as the tension raises when you get closer to who the secret lover is who’s sending the letters.

The author doesn’t describe the environment very detailed but it’s not that important when you can picture the environment by the dialogues spoken between the characters in the book. Love Letters reaches out to different kinds of people and it doesn’t matter of what age you have you will enjoy reading it any...
