He felt comfortable around here, he did not feel afraid to talk about anything, he did not feel afraid to get food from the refrigerator. And thats when you feel comfortable, when you no longer have to sneak down the hall, against the walls and you no longer have to ask carefully when you want something. Many places made him feel uncomfortable and tense but not here. Maybe it was because of the easy and smooth way they talked, moved and behaved. He just liked them, they did not judge him for the person he was before or where he came from, they just learned to know him, and that’s something he wasn’t used to. He felt that he was a part of them, he was one of them not just an outsider anymore.

The neighbourhood they lived in was also nice, a lot of happy families, kids played outside, a man with a dog walked by. It was not like where he came from, no people were screaming, fighting or robbing each other, in this neighbourhood. For the first time in his life he felt that he was in a safe place where nobody could hurt him or make him do stuff he did not want to do. Feel safe is a big part of life, if you feel safe you will act like yourself and not do bad stuff, a safe place to come home to in the afternoon, a safe place to wake up to in the morning is one of the most important things in life. Some people don’t realize that before it’s to late, and that’s very sad.

He felt a bit nervous about going to school tomorrow, he didn’t know anyone here, except the people he lived with. To Feel nervous made him wanna throw up, he didn’t want to go to school, he just wanted to stay in his bed and do nothing but stare out the window every day. But a life without challenges and obligations isn’t a life. They told him that it was good for him to meet new people and make new friends, to feel nervous is just good for you, they told him, he didn’t belive them, but they had never lied to him so he didn’t have any other choice then have faith in what they say.

While he was staring out the window he was thinking about the time when his mother was with him, all the fun stuff they did together, all the meals they had together, all the happy trips they did together. He really missed his mother, but there was nothing to do now, what was done was done, and no one could ever change that. He was in a good place now and that was the only thing that matter. Things will never be like it was before, but things will only get better. He st...
