This book takes action in England in the middle of the 80’s. The main character, Paula “Stick” Stickles, have no longer got a best friend. Her former best friend Cal is nowadays best friend with the boy-crazy Rachel in their class. But one day a foster kid named Chip steps, or rather jumps, into her life.
