Description of the environment
The environment is pretty usual. Elliot lives in a small village and is here the most of the book are happening. If you read the book you’ll son understand that the writer doesn’t decide were it is, William doesn’t even give the village a name. I think that the village is in USA. There isn’t any more environments in the book, I think.

Main characters

E. T. is the leading character of the book. He is a very old extra-terrestrial, and is for that reason very smart to. He loves the planet earth and especially the plants. He is very curios, which is the reason for he got stuck on the planet earth at the first place. He is also weary sensitive.
Elliot is a rather anxious boy that likes adventures. He is caring too, you can se that when he takes so good care of E.T. when Elliot finds him. He likes E.T. weary much. He likes to play and hang out whit his friends, but he doesn’t like school very much.
Michael and Gertie are Elliot’s older brother and his five year old sister. Michael is anxious too; anyway when its concern E.T. Gertie is the exact opposite, she is happy and careless. She likes E.T. a lot, especially when they play together.
Mom is the three children, that are right, mother. Her real name is Mary. She takes a good care of her children but she isn’t very attentive because she didn’t discover E.T. Or is it maybe Elliot that is good at hiding things…
Lance is Elliot’s classmate. He is weary curios at E.T. and Elliot doesn’t like that because he doesn’t want anyone to discover E.T. But in the end Lance shows that he is very kind.
The scientist is bad people. They want to take E.T. and make scary experiments on him. Nobody likes them; they are the “bad guys” in this book.

The story

The story starts whit a spaceship. In the spaceship there are a lot of extra-terrestrials, one of them is E.T. They landed in a forest, not long from a little village. The extra-terrestrials went too earth because they like the plants here. They talk whit them and then they take the plants home. One of them, E.T., was weary curios and wanted too see what the people do here on earth, and how they look. So he went down the hill and followed a little road to the little community. He saw funny looking houses and lights came out of the houses. Suddenly, his friends called him. “It’s dangerous! They now we are here! Come back!” they said. E.T. tried to run back to the ship but the ground felt strange and he couldn’t walk very fast, or run. “Where are you?” E.T. tried to answer and he run as fast as he could, bur too late. When he arrived to the spot where the spaceship landed he’s friends was already gone. He cud see them fly away as a little bright spot in the dark night. If you wonder what’s happen too E.T. you should read the book or see the film, both are weary good but be prepared too cry.

What I think of the book

I like E.T. weary much, both the book and the film. I not very realistic but I like it anyway. The Characters is good explained. Elliot seems like a nice boy and E.T. is soooo cute! I cry ewery time I see the movie, it is kind of strange I like it so much. I cry because the story is so fine and cute. I there’s is a longer version of the book I want to read it, this version i...
