The trip to Phuket

This is a fantasy trip that I would like to do. I will write it like a story in “me-form”.

It is a rainy and cloudy Monday morning. I’m sitting at the airplane and waiting for my plane to take off. I don’t think I should miss Sweden that much. A stewardess tells everyone to put the seatbelts on. I’ve already done that. It doesn’t take long before we’re off.

Twelve hours later the plane arrives in Phuket. The first things I feel when I’m off the plane is the hot and little moistly air. I’m going down to the bottom floor to grab my suitcase. It is all crowded everywhere and it takes long time for me to find the suitcase. When I’ve finally got it, I search myself the way out from the airport. I success to find a guy that will take me to my hotel. The name of the hotel is Mermaid Resort and it’s gorgeous. The personal in the lobby is very nice to me and helps me to get installed in my room. The day is for me hard and it is lovely to get some sleep when it gets dark.

The two following days I just spend around the hotel. I think it’s kind of scary to do this trip alone, but I don’t regret it. On the third day I’m going to the beach and the sight is swallowing all my words. I can’t describe how beautiful it is and I just get that childish feeling and runs into the water, screaming and laughing at the same time! My family would laugh at me if they saw me now. When I think that, I get some feeling of home sickness. It’s hard to be without anyone that I know for ten days. When the childish feeling is over, I’m walking back up on the beach and grab my towel. I start to walk along the beach in the water’s edge. The sun is getting me hot and dry very fast and I can really feel the sunburn over my body. Exactly when I’ve decided to go back, I hear someone talking Swedish! My heart is starting to beat and when I see the guys which playing volleyball I just laugh.
- Hello, I say.
- Hi, three of them answer.
- I’ve noticed that you’re from Sweden?
- Yes, that’s correct.
- Cool, me too! I’m alone on this trip, so may I join you for some days?
- Sure! Of course you can!
- Oh thank you.
We continues talking and half an hour later we have decided to meet at a bar six o clock Thai time.

Ten minutes past six, I’m arriving at the bar. There are four guys and two girls waiting on me. We are talking and having a really good time together. All of them are coming from Stockholm and I laugh at their accent. They have been in Phuket for a little more than a week and are soon going home again. I’m thinking of all my friends and family back home. No, I shall not think like that! We shall have fun.
And we did. The days passes and suddenly it’s the day before travelling back home. The Swedish gang went home two days ago. The time we had done we spend on the beach, in different clubs at night and some nice shops. I have bought myself some souvenirs, clothes and gifts to my family. I have seen a real elephant too! It was a Thai-guy which just came into town sitting upon that large elephant. It was such a chock!

Time to go home. I’m sitting at the plane and leaving this beautiful Thailand behind me. I will go back there someday, I just know it. Thailand will ...
