”The dead zone” is a terrible book written by the master of modern horror; Stephen King. It’s really scary, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to read it on a dark rainy night while being home alone!

The book is about this very ordinary guy, with a very ordinary name, John Smith. He lives a nice and peaceful life, until he has the accident...
He falls into a deep coma, and while being there, his life falls apart. His girlfriend marries someone else, believing that John won’t ever wake up. But he will. And when he finally does, he has some problems adjusting to the thought that he has been asleep for five years...
However, he manages to get a new life, a new job, and it looks like everything just might go well. Except for these strange pictures. He sees pictures in his head of people he never met and of things that have not yet happened. He discovers that he can see into the future, but when he tries to use ”the gift” to help people, everyone takes him for a fool. Nobody wants to believe that John can actually see what the future holds, and after predicting an accident that also happened, people start to think that John made ”the gift” up and was responsible for the accident himself. In the end, heroic John gives his life to save the world.

It’s a good story, and it’s written in a way that makes you think that this really could have happened. It takes place in the United States of America in the 20th century. I really recommend this boo...
