Consequences of the greenhouse effect: This “trapping” isolates the Earth and gives the consequences of making the earth warmer then it should be. Because of this the polar ices are starting to melt which will make the sea level to rise and give flooding to many countries. Continents such as Africa, Asia are starting to become deserts just because of all the cutting of forests (but not only for that also for the fossil fuel burning). The isolation takes up sunlight but doesn’t let it out again (to space) and in that way makes earth to a warmer place. The burning of fossil fuels has been a big number in the scale of carbon dioxide in the air. All cars, factories, trains, boats etc. that we use let’s out pollution that increase the greenhouse effect.
Cures: Something that would help to avoid the greenhouse effect would be if all countries would sign the Kyoto protocol. If all countries would sign under it, they would sign under that they will try to make the using of fossil fuels and cutting of the forests to decrease.
If we cut down trees we also should plant new ones so they can take care of the photosynthesis that is needed to take care of all the carbon dioxide, which should be more trees then before because the burning of carbon increases all the time. People in poor countries need places to grow their food and that is a reason why the enormous amount of forests has been cut down. New people are born everyday so the population grows all the time and that makes it more people to feed. In many places of the world people suffer of malnutrition and in other countries it’s the opposite people are to fat. I think the food rich counties would send food to the needed countries (that don’t have much food) they would help them so they don’t need to cut down forests to grow their food.
I also think if USA would sign the Kyoto protocol it would make a big difference because USA is the country that burns the most carbon in the world. If they would sign under, the number of carbon in the air would reduce. But the best thing would be if we stop using fossil fuels in our transports. An other choice is if all people that can take the public transports, e.g. to job, would do that so they don’t need to use their own cars. To car pool is better then go one and one in several cars, cause then you don’t use as much fossil fuels. But if you still want to take the car, the best thing would be if the car would be electrical driven.
There is much we can do to prevent slightly the greenhouse effect. But the burning of fossil fuels and cutting forests has become a part of our lifestyle. That makes it hard to just stop using it because it’s so normal to just take the car to work, when you could take the bicycle and get some exercise. But ...
