The narrator Pony boy Curtis of the story and a 14-years boy are walking home alone after seen a move in the movie house.
He can’t go to the movie whit his friends because they don’t like movies.
On his and Johnny way home they meet a car full of Socs (Short for “Social”) who want to beat them up.
Socs are wealthy and high-class.
They usually attack Greasers when they are drunk.
They begun to fight and after they tried to drown Pony boy, Johnny take his knife and attacked one Soc. Johnny killed him. After that Johnny and Pony boy explained everything for Dally and he advised them to flee from the city otherwise they go to the institution. So they decided to flee to a church outside the town. After one week Dally come to make them company. And deliver a letter to Pony boy from his Brother Soda Pop. In that letter stood that everything going to be alright. When Pony boy, Johnny and Dally decide to leave the church to find something to eat. When the returned after they have eaten, they saw a school class at the church they have lived in and the church was burning. Pony boy and Johnny decide to help them. Johnny gets hurt when he tried to help one of the children. After that disaster they were heroes in all news papers. Johnny had broken his spine and was near to die. Greasers and Socs are the worse foe over the whole times.
Greaser and Socs are going out for war. Much blood has been spilled after the battle, but finally the Greasers were the winners. Socs shall not attach or do anything else at the Greasers anymore.
After the battle Pony boy and the other Greasers visit Johnny at the hospital, pony boy told him that they had win the battle. After that Johnny died.
Dally gets completely mad. He go to the town and robber a shop, then the police should arrest him, but he make opposition at the police and he threaten them whit his gun. The police shoot him. Then Dally died. ...
