I Am Malala
uppladdat: 2020-06-09
The book "I Am Malala" is written by a courageous,
young Pakistani girl, called Malala Yousafzai,
and co-written by Christina Lamb.
Malala was born in 1997 and spent most of her childhood in Pakistan.
As a child, she became aware of the importance of education and defended the right of Pakistani girls to receive education in her community, when they were under the Taliban. Malala was shot in the head by the Taliban men, but miraculously survived the attempted assassination. Nowadays, she lives in Great Britain and continues fighting for girls' right to education, which she has won numerous awards for, including the Nobel peace prize in 2014.
During her fight for her education rights, Malala Yousafzai has achieved much more than fame and respect. She has rightfully won the Nobel Peace prize in 2014 and Sakharov prize in 2013 and United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights in 2013.
Malala and her supporters, family and friends all contribute to demanding for woman's and children's education rights, and with whole countries on her side, this may not be as hard as you would think to accomplish.
