In the beginning of the book Alice became 15 years old, but for Alice that’s nothing special because her life was already in a big mess. She is pretty fat, at least she thinks she is, but looses very much weight and becomes very thin. Alice mother nagged all the time at her and told her to be happy and don’t care about what other people talks about her.
