Breathtaking, cruel and even more fascinating. This bizarre game between an attractive woman and dangerous man can be seen as a cat’s hunt after mice or perhaps vice versa. What happens when the differences between the role of the mouse and the cat no longer exists? Could a human being, especially a practisian of the law sympathise with, or even worse, be drawn to a cold-hearted psychopath?
Probably not, only in the fantasy world!

The physiatrist Dr. Lector Hannibal (the cannibal) escaped from prison ten years ago and is still on the run. With that knowledge, Mason Verger who is the only survivor among out Lectors victims, starts his own hunt after the assailant with his mind focused on justice. Justice in his own terms…
Dr. Lectors hiding place hiding place has been a mystery for the FBI until agent Clarice Starling receives a phone call from a very familiar voice on the other line. This is just the beginning of a bloody hunt for one of the ten most wanted men of the nation. A confrontation between the two of them is unavoidable, but the question is who is going to take the first step to put an end to this madness.

During the hunt, Agent. C. Starling is forced to struggle with moral doubts and loyalty towards the murderer who spared her from death. One could question wheatear Clarice is obligated to feel gratitude towards him or if she does it voluntarily. It has also been discussed wheatear “Hannibal” is a love story or maybe the contrary. I believe that a character like Hannibal’s does not have the ability to feel anything like hatred since there are no human feelings left in his system. That is the reason why I don’t think that Hannibal can possibly take place in a love story.

Throughout the story I noticed several changes in the character of Lecter since he appeared in “the silence of the lambs”. Hannibal can be described as the evil itself: pure but still brilliant. As time passes Lector slowly turns into a so-called judge who chooses his victims based on their actions rather then given opportunities.
