Circular breathing
I would now like to give you a didgeridoo lesson. This is my didgeridoo school. Let us begin. When you see someone playing the didgeridoo it may look easy. I mean, how hard can it be to blow air into an old stick?! Trust me, it`s not that simple. The trick is to breath in with your nose and blow air into it at the same time. “Circular breathing”.

The first stage of circular breathing is that we need to trap air and where we trap air is in our cheeks. Once the air is trapped in our cheeks, we must release that air gradually. We must regulate the amount of air that is being released through our lips.

When we have done that, we will then breathe through our nose to put air back into our lungs and then push the air from our lungs back into our cheeks to continue playing didgeridoo, that is the technique of circular breathing. And when you have been doing that for a while you will be able to breath in a circle without interruption, for one minute or one hour. Practice hard and you will see results.

Doing da sound

To get a sound when you play the didgeridoo your lips must vibrate. To do that you must relax all the muscles in yor mouth and the let the wind pass trough your lips.
If you can do that good enough, you are able to get a sound through the didgeridoo. But remember, you must hold your lips very loosely and blow the wind gently through your lips.

When you have done that, you must continue to put your lips onto the didgeridoo and then sealing your lips into the didgeridoo, create the vibration sound through the didgeridoo. One thing we must remember is that the didgeridoo serves as an amplifier. It will naturally amplify that vibration sound to create what we know as the didgeridoo drone. Okay, let`s proceed to stage 2.

Getting a vocal

To get a vocal trough the didgeridoo you will have to use your vocal-chords. When you do that you actually talk insted of blowing wind from your cheeks.
Pretty cool! Remember to blow the wind gently trough your loose mouth and vibrating lips. Thats all about the vocal.

There are several more stages to learn but I decided to stop here. The other stages is about making animal noises. Owl sounds, kangaroo and even kookaburra sounds.
The aboriginals used didgeridoos during hunt to lure the animals to them. ...
