The film begins with a black screen, where you only hear a radio voice. To quote the voice: "When people ask, dear listeners, why I hate all the Tutsis, I say "read our history. " Tutsi were cooperating with the Belgian colonists. They stole our Hutu land, they whipped us. Now, they have come back, theese Tutsi rebels. They are cockroaches, they are murderers. Rwanda is our Hutu land. We are the majority. They are a minority of traitors and invaders. We will ______. We will wipe out the RPF rebels. This is the RTLM, the Hutu-power radio. Stay alert.
