Fantasy, facts, history, religion, physics and excitement are the ingredients in this book. A physicist, Leonardo Vetra has been brutally murdered and the murderers left a burn-mark on his chest with a mysterious symbol. The famous professor Robert Langdon and Vittoria Vetra are called to an institute to observe the symbol. Eventually he finds out what it means and that leads him to centuries old brotherhood called the “Illuminaties”. They have planted a bomb 100 times stronger than a nuclear weapon to destroy the Vatican and their oldest enemy, the Catholic Church. Only one man brave enough could save the state and the church. Guess who?
The main characters in the story are: as I said before, Robert Langdon, the famous professor. Vittoria Vetra, the young, brave, sexy, lovely and intelligent daughter to the physicst who died, later on becomes Langdon’s partner.
The book is well-written with describing adjectives and environment descriptions. The author seems to know what his doing and really keeps the reader from the first word to the very last. An excellent beginning, good brilliant story with turning point everywhere and a pleasant ending. The reader doesn’t have cravings for more, since the book is definitely finished and one has got all the answers.

I liked this book. But unfortunately some stories aren’t made to be published as books. The book seems to be written from a movie rather than the movie has been made by the book. It doesn’t have a deep story where you have to read between the lines to realize the content and message in the book. The story is almost exactly the same as in his later book, The Da vinci Code. Forget everything you’ve heard that this is a sequencer. It has nothing to do with the Da vinci code, only that is has the same of story with the curch and all its mysteries. I’m feeling that the author only wrote this book only to earn money, not to make an impact on his readers. As soon as Dan Brown has had his 15 minutes of glory, he will be forgotten.
I recommend this book to everyone that haven’t read The Da Vinci Code. Also to everyone that likes to read books, but are too lazy. Once you have started you can’t stop. And finally it’s good for the one who rather read a book a Friday night, than to watch a movie on...
