Daniel Defoe was born in London at 1660 and died at the age of 71. He was an English writer, a secret agent and a journalist.
When he was 35 his family went in to bankruptcy and that was the reason why he became a writer. He changed his name at the same time, from Daniel Foe to Daniel Defoe.
Defoe was locked up in prison and he had to pay a lot of money because he wrote things that were forbidden. He became a politic journalist and after the big success with Robinson Crusoe he only spent time to write novels.

Robinson Crusoe was born at 1632, at an early age Robinson wanted to explore more of the world, but his father who was a wise man didn’t want Robinson to travel around when he was so young.
One day Robinson met a friend who was going to sea with his father’s ship, he asked Robinson if he wanted to travel with him. The ship was going to Africa and Robinson wanted to travel with his friend, so without asking his parents he went away with his friend.
After a few days at the sea there came a fearful storm, the waves were very hard and high. There wore some heavy waves and the boat were damaged, and the damages made the boat sunk

The darkness came and Robinson found himself in trouble of sleeping on the ground. He was so tired and hasn’t explored the Island so to be on the safe way he climbed up in a tree and slept there.

When he woke up the next day Robinson climbed down from the tree and walked down to the beach. He looked at the ocean and about one kilometre away he could see the ship. He decided to swim out to the ship and look if the waves have left something. He found a lot of things and took it to the island. He walked in the wood and found a level place on the side of the hill.

When Robinson was on the ship he took the raft and now he did a tent of it. Then he did a half-circle round the tent and cut down young trees and did a strong fence.
Robinson took 4 trees to remember what day it was, one for days, one for weeks, one for months and one for years. He hoped that he never had to write on the last tree.

The days went on and one day Robinson saw some footsteps, a few weeks later he saw a boat on a great distance, Robinson wondered what it was so he run and fetched his gun who he took from the boat and run back to look what kind of people it was, it was some naked men who had taken prisoners.
In the middle they made a fire as they dance around in a circle, it sat two prisoners in their boats.
One cannibal went down to the boat and took them up to the fire. When this man found himself free he started to run towards Robinson.
He swam over the stream and two of the cannibals followed him.
The men run towards Robinson and the two followers came closer. He shouted at them both and left was the prisoner. The prisoner thought that Robinson was going to kill him but then he understood th...
