The Fellowship of the Ring:
In the year of 1996 Peter Jackson started whit the really hard work doing a film of The Story of The Ring, one of the most popular books ever. He was not the first, but he was the first who not done it animated.

The Story of The Ring take place in a whole other word than our, the Middle Earth and is populated whit creatures how just exist in the human fantasy. Now they have to imagine the whole thing and build it up. Because of the great nature they picked New Zeeland to build it on.

The Plot:
For long time ago the dwarfs forged magical rings for the peoples in the Middle earth, nine for the humans, seven for the dwarfs and three for the elves. But one thing they don’t known, the lord of darkness, Sauron, had made a ring which had the power over all the other rings. The One, The Lord of The Ring. Sauron was killed by Isildur, he cut the Ring of his finger, but his soul survived and grooved stronger. And so, the dark powers get their eyes of the Ring again. A hobbit had it in his own.

In the same time the wizard Gandalf has explained for the hobbit Frodo what the Ring really is and Frodo start the danger journey to the dark land Mordor and Mont Doom, the only way to destroy the Ring Is too melt it in Mont Dooms fire.

On his journey he is followed by eight persons from all the “good” peoples, they are the Fellowship.

The history is whit other words a fantastical adventure from the beginning to the end.

About the actors:
Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins: The young actor Elijah who is mostly known from “Chain of fools” play the head character Frodo, the hobbit how get the ring in his own.

Sean Astin as Sam Gamgee: Sean Astin from “Rudy” and “Where the days take you” play Frodos servant and friend Sam.

Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn: Viggo Mortensen from Denmark has play parts in “Psycho” and “Young Americans”. Aragorn is one of the two humans in the fellowship and descendant of the big kings from the West.

Ian McKellen as Gandalf: Ian McKellen is maybe the most famous actor who plays a part of the Fellowship. He had for example a role in “X-men”. Gandalf is one of the five wizards, he finds out what kind of ring the hobbits has in their own.

Dominic Monaghan as Meriadoc Brandybuck: Dominic is before known from “Hetty Wainthrop Investigations”. Meriadoc or Merry is one of Frodos best friends.

Billy Boyd as Peregrin Took: Billy Boyd has played roles in “The Speculator” and “Helmet”. Peregrin or Pippin is a young hobbit who follows Frodo on his way.

John Rhys-Davies as Gimli: John Davies, known from “Indiana Jones” and “Sliders”, Plays Gimli, the dwarf in the Fellowship.

Orlando Bloom as Legolas Greenleaf: Orlando from “Wilde” and “A night out” plays the elf Legolas. Prince of Mirkwood.

Sean Bean as Boromir: Sean Bean; known from “Clarissa”, plays Boromir the second human in the fellowship.

Hugo Weaving as Elrond: The Elf king Elrond is played by Hugo Weaving known from “The Matrix.”

Cate Blanchett as Galadriel: Cate Blanchett known from “The talented Mr. Ripley” play the role as queen Galadriel.

What I think about the Movie:
I love The Lord of The Ring and because of that I first don’t wanted to see the film. But it doesn’t do me disappointed. Whit fantastical effects and able actors it was surprising good. And The Lord of The Ring is a really perfect book. But some things which don’t agree whit the book disturb...
